About The Artist:
Rosalva is a first-generation, low-income Latina, transfer student, born and raised in South Central, Los Angeles. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Educational Counseling at USC. She began to make handmade floral bookmarks to preserve a flower that her grandmother taught her how to weave in Mexico. She turned this hobby into a fundraiser to fund her graduate studies.
